What is the PULSE Model?
The PULSE Model is no ordinary leadership training. It’s a purpose-driven, systems-aware, people-centered leadership framework crafted specifically for Members of Parliament (MPs) in Lesotho — but its spirit could transform any fragile, struggling democracy.
At its core, PULSE is an intervention. A direct response to a harsh reality: MPs are disconnected from the people they serve, democratic values are eroding, laws are being made without vision, and politics feels like it’s eating itself alive.
PULSE says: Enough. We rebuild. We refocus. We reconnect.
PULSE is an acronym standing for five pillars:
P – People-Centered Governance
U – Upholding Democratic Values
L – Legislative Excellence
S – Systems Thinking & Strategic Foresight
E – Empowerment & Accountability
Each pillar is not just “nice-to-have theory.” It’s a battle-tested pathway to equip MPs with the mindset, skills, and systems thinking needed to break the vicious cycle of dysfunction and build the Lesotho Basotho deserve.
